The ATW in Leech’s introductory range of sunglasses is designed for all activities around the water. Lightweight models in a classic wayfarer and sporty design. The Intro has TAC polarizing lenses with polycarbonate frames.
Features:
Copper lenses - increase contrast and improve depth of vision, making it easier to spot fish in seawater-coloured environments. We recommend copper lenses because they also increase visual acuity and protect the eyes from overexertion. They are also perfect for morning and evening light, making it much easier to spot fish.
Polarized triacetyl cellulose (TAC) - TAC lenses are made of plastic sheets with multi-layer lens technology. It is the lightest polarizing lens available and has a polarization efficiency of 99%.
Coatings:
Ultraviolet light filter, UV400 - This coating protects the eyes from the dangerous UV rays found in sunlight. 100% UVA, UVB and UVC filter.
Hardening coating - Despite all the advances in lens coatings, completely scratch-resistant lenses have yet to be developed – not even glass lenses. The lenses for Leech glasses, however, are covered with a transparent, hard coating on both sides, which makes them very resistant to scratches.
