Built to meet the demands of modern mountaineers, the Lightline Jacket continues to set the benchmark for lightweight, technical duvets. Its hooded design and water-resistant shell offer exceptional warmth and protection in sub-zero conditions.
The Lightline Jacket uses 700-fill power Pure Down held in place by stitched-through baffle construction to optimise warmth and prevent down migration that can lead to cold spots, particularly in vulnerable areas such as the shoulders, chest and hood. All of Mountain Equipment's down is minimally treated and is DOWN CODEX approved, meaning it’s sourced through a transparent and carefully audited supply chain.
The lightweight and highly water-resistant Drilite Loft outer fabric allows the down to loft to its full potential, providing maximum warmth while protecting against melting snow and howling spindrift. Drilite Loft offers complete wind resistance and excellent breathability, keeping you warm and comfortable even in the most severe conditions.
The Women’s specific Mountain fit is carefully designed for effective layering while reducing unnecessary bulk that can feel restrictive, allowing for complete freedom of movement whether shouldering a pack, swinging axes or coiling ropes. An elasticated hem drawcord and adjustable cuffs seal out the cold and help fine-tune the fit.
A fully insulated hood with a wired peak provides an invaluable defence against the elements in severe conditions. It can be zipped off to reduce weight and pack size when necessary. Three down panels optimise the hood to fit around the head, and drawcords allow for easy additional adjustment, even with gloves on.
A reliable two-way YKK moulded centre zip is resilient against ice build-up and is reinforced by an internal baffle to seal in heat. Internally, a zipped security pocket stores essentials, while two hand warmer pockets keep fingers toasty at camp or store items requiring quick access when moving.
Lightweight, warm and highly protective, the Lightline remains a benchmark piece for cold-weather insulation.

Down 700 - Down is the finest insulator that Mountain Equipment have. Its warmth to weight ratio, compressibility, long lifespan, and softness are yet to be matched by manmade insulations. For all but the most serious expeditions, duck down is a great choice for both insulated clothing and equipment.
Down Codex® - The Down Codex® is Mountain Equipment's multi-award-winning certification scheme that considers the environmental, ethical and animal welfare matters relating to their down supply chains. It is grounded in comprehensive and transparent auditing that ensures traceability and quality.
Drilite® Loft - Drilite® Loft is Mountain Equipment's exclusive range of highly water repellent fabrics used in their insulated clothing and equipment. The original Drilite Loft, introduced almost 30 years ago, was years ahead of its time: a highly breathable, lightweight, and very water repellent fabric. Those three hallmarks continue with their modern Drilite Loft fabrics.
